Purpose and Objectives:
VII Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art aimed to demonstrate various trends, new directions, and new names in Contemporary Art for wide range of public.
Promote wide range of international cultural relations, strengthening of dialog of different cultures, traditions and achievements of different countries in the field of Fine Arts.
Emancipation of creative consciousness, pluralism in the field of creative search, showing the specific situation in the different countries of the postmodern, intertextuality state of contemporary art, the preservation of national identity in the artistic culture in the era of globalization.
Requirements for entries:
Competition program of Biennale includes two areas:
Contemporary Fine Art (painting, graphic art, sculpture)
Contemporary Art (Installations, Video Art, Photo Art, Performances etc.)
On a competitive exhibition can be presented works created within the last 2 years. In subject matter and content, they must meet the thematic focus of the Biennale, created at a high professional level, to be conceptual, carry the innovation of Modern Art.
The competition and non-competition exhibition is open to art galleries, contemporary art centers, curators and stand-alone artists with a project or individual pieces of art.
Curators of Biennale reserve the right to select works of art for the competition and non-competition exhibitions. Participation in the Tashkent Biennale is free of charge. Best works, on the recommendation of the Jury, will be awarded diplomas and prizes.
As part of the Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art the following events will be organized: International Conference on Problems of Contemporary Art, presentations of different art projects, workshops and sightseeing tours of Tashkentand Samarkand cities.
Organizers will cover: the living expenses of foreign participants (accommodation, meals, entertainment program, transportation within the country for the duration of the Biennale), visa support and payment of customs duties.
Deadline for submitting applications to participate in the Biennale: August 1, 2013.

of VII Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art “Different Cultures – One World”

The professional art galleries, contemporary art centers, curators and artists working in various styles, directions and techniques – painting, sculpture, photo, avant-garde, conceptual art and etc. are invited to participate in Tashkent Biennale of Contemporary Art.
To participate in Biennale please submit the following information till August 1, 2013:
- The filled registration form in English;
- Your photo taken within last 6 months (3 mmx4 mm) and information on works;
- Photos of your works you want to present at the Biennial for a catalogue. Photo requirements: 2664×1577 pixels, 100 dpi min.);
- On a competitive exhibition you can be present your works created within the last 2 years;
- In subject matter and content, they must meet the thematic focus of the Biennale, created at a high professional level, to be conceptual, carry the innovation of Modern Art;
- Every artist can participate with up to 6 his works;
- Works should be labeled in English;
- Inscriptions are located in backside must contain – country, full name of the author, the technique, year of creation, and the sizes;
- Works shouldn’t be framed;
- No registration or participation fee;
- Air tickets of participants of Biennale will not be covered;
- Organizers give possibility to participants of passing with works free of charge through the VIP/CIP hall of the Tashkent International Airport;
- Organizing Committee will cover the following expenses of foreign participants: hotel, meals, tour to Samarkand, visa support and transportation within the country).
* Curators of Biennale reserve the right to select works of art for the competition and non-competition exhibitions.
